Wouldn’t'cha Know It?

So I’m just putting the finishing touches on my humility post, part two, when here comes Moonmaid to honor me with an award. It’s called the Break Out Blogger (BOB) Award and now I feel ooooh so hot, so super-i-or. Hmph-ha, wont’cha just look at me. (Seriously, thank you Moonmaid, I know you’re just trying to help me with my little humility problem.)

So in return, I nominate Gypsy Girl, whom I have to apologize to for accidentally snubbing—somehow, very sadly, your blog got deleted from my bloglines feeds and I thought you hadn’t been writing. But you have! In fact, I see that you’ve been writing and writing lately and now I’ve got to catch up on your lovely blog . . . so you are hereby awarded the Break Out Blogger Award, which is meant to “cast a spotlight on bloggers who are just beginning to draw lotsa attention — the equivalent of a song with a bullet on Billboard’s Top 100 chart.     Interesting post for me. How to accept an award or a compliment humbly but honestly. Not side-step it or minimize it. But accept it, with humility. And have that be ok. You have a really great blog. People recognize that whether you get an award or not. Keep it up!

    Chuck, yeah, what a challenge, huh? I’ve never been good at accepting compliments, but I believe that can be false humility–I guess it depends on what’s inside my head and heart. I appreciate your kind comments!
